The fundamentals of art

Great Art begins with foundation.

Art is fun, expressive and rewarding. Great works of art are universally captivating, emotionally compelling and instantaneously communicative. To create a masterpiece is paralleled with genius. Yet it is often overlooked that with all great efforts there is an understanding and execution of principles.

Beauty is perched upon a well crafted foundation. FUNdaMENTAL Arts is a skill based art curriculum rooted to the necessity of foundation, the building blocks of art. Understanding the visual world begins with gaining a new insight of what we see. The beginning of capturing an image starts with seeing the subject as a whole that is continually divisible. Students create by following step by step guidance contributing to a greater awareness of the many layers and stages in all works of art.
